Spirit Fingers

The Word is confirmed with signs following. It is awesome to see how the Lord uses the movement ministries to show His Word from the Truth perspective. When we read the Scriptures from a Holy Spirit context, we will truly see that the Lord is using many aspects of the worship arts to spread the gospel.

There are times when small motions can make a big impact. Many sign dance ministries rely on sign language to convey the Message, while many mimes primarily use the face and hands. The finger denotes a very powerful image in scripture. Finger pointing can mean accusation in modern-day context, but the finger can also represent the handiwork of the Lord.

The Lord's arms, hands, thigh, finger, back, and face are but a few of the "Body parts" He is described as having in the Bible. Realizing that we are made in His image and likeness, it should be no surprise to us that the Lord created us in a similar fashion. As we continue to seek movement and instruction concerning choreography in light of His Word, let us be confident that He created our entire bodies to be presented to Him as a living sacrifice.

Exodus 8:19 (NKJV)
Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the LORD had said.
