Humble Adoration

The culture of celebrity can cause us to desire recognition that is unmerited. When the Lord does a mighty work through the ministry of movement, people will want to praise the vessel God uses. We should not discourage people from sharing how the ministry has impacted their lives. How we respond to the comments is what the Lord is watching.

The Lord will give us wisdom how to respond to people who admire the ministry. Some may simply need a hug. Others may need a handshake or a smile. We should always be loving when we are approached by His people.

By the same measure, we should encourage those who labor faithfully in the ministry. If another dance ministry blesses us, we should share with them how the Lord used them to minister. The Body needs to be built us, and the persecution that comes along with dance ministry needs balance. When anyone begins to require star treatment to work in the ministry, then they have lost to essence of the servant that ministers are supposed to be.

Deuteronomy 3:28 (NKJV)
But command Joshua, and encourage him and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you will see.’

2 Chronicles 35:2 (NKJV)
And he set the priests in their duties and encouraged them for the service of the house of the LORD.

Colossians 2:2 (NKJV)
That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ
