Rest Stop

Ever-moving and never resting is not a wise practice for dancers. Because of our love for the Lord, we can often find ourselves battling injury, sickness and fatigue because we do not properly care for our bodies. The Lord has given permission for us to stop and rest.

If we neglect to renew ourselves, we will be weak, worn and weary. We should schedule time for vacation, or just to sit and hear what the Lord want to say to us. Clear minds and rested bodies are great assets to ministry. Confusion and fatigue give entrance to the attack of the enemy.

When we are weak and weary, we must yield ourselves to the Lord. There is a vast difference between sleep and rest. When we cast all our cares upon Him and consult Him concerning how He wants us to be renewed, revival will occur. If we allow Him to carry us in the midst of multi-tasking, He will definitely handle the rest.

Genesis 18:4 (NKJV)
Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.

Exodus 33:14 (NKJV)
And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV)
For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
