In our times of rehearsal and preparation, we must not forget to revisit why we agreed to dance for the Lord in the first place. There are too many times that precious moments are wasted with unrelated conversation, waiting on latecomers, praying for attitude adjustments, or just plain carelessness.
There can be a strong visitation from the Lord during our rehearsal gatherings. It is a good time to "re-hear-all" that the Lord has specifically called your ministry to accomplish. Write the vision! Read it aloud on a regular basis. Study the scriptures concerning your ministry mandate and the particlar pieces that you are working on.
Consider rehearsal time as another opportunity to bring glory to God. He is our greatest and most important witness. Let's not waste any time getting out of step, burdened with the issues of life during our times of rehearsal. The moment that we set foot on a platform, stage, or pulpit is not what counts, it's what we do in our private moments that will be openly rewarded.
Luke 4:21 (NKJV)
And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
